Presidential Statements

In the Presidential Statements the President of the Security Council summarizes the Council's standpoint on certain questions and its program for further action. These documents are less formal than the meeting records and the resolutions but they serve as complimentary information.

These documents are issued as individual documents and from 1994- they are posted in full text at the UN official web site, Documents, Security Council, Presidential Statements.
The Statements in print for the period 1946-1992 are included in the UN collection of the Dag Hammarskjöld Library, Uppsala, and in the libraries at UN Headquarters in New York and Geneva.
